All responses are maximized. Weights are normalized; all-zero weights disable combined scores. Scores require all positively weighted responses and use the measured minimum and maximum of each response. Constant responses contribute 0.5; new measurements may change earlier scores. Predicted scores may extend beyond 0–1.

Bounded numerical search; a global maximum is not guaranteed. Predictions are not clipped. Pointwise intervals do not account for selecting the optimum. Screening predictions assume negligible unmodeled interactions.
