Symmetry Generators

Edit Parent Pole

Select a pole on the projection or in the table to edit its parent.

Enter any nonzero Cartesian direction. Values are normalized to unit length. Negative z selects the lower hemisphere. Applying regenerates the full family using the selected generators.

Click on the projection to add a pole.

Stereographic Projection

Click on the projection to add a pole. Select a symmetry element to generate all the poles. If you select a symmetry element and then a pole, you can generate the other poles one by one. Drag the sphere to rotate. Drag a parent on the projection or edit its coordinates in the side panel to move its family.
