Brutus - Powder XRD Indexing

This program uses a system-specific, exhaustive search to find potential unit cells based on the first 20 peaks.

• Cubic: Tests single peaks.
• Tetra/Hexa: Solves using peak pairs.
• Ortho: Solves using peak triplets (GPU).
• Monoclinic: Solves using peak quadruplets (GPU).
• Triclinic: Solves using peak sextuplets (GPU).

All trial cells are refined, scored (M(20)), and analyzed for space groups. For a full breakdown, read the technical guide.

Supported File Formats:

Generic 2-column (2θ intensity), .xrdml, .brml, .ras, .uxd, .udf, GSAS .esd

Chart Interaction:

Zoom: Use the mouse wheel over the plot, X-axis, or Y-axis. Right-click to reset zoom.

Pan: Click and drag the chart to pan.

Add Peak: Hold Ctrl and click on the chart to manually add a peak at that position.
